Two additions to this house expanded the living areas and increased the detail and complexity of the 1920 Tudor style. The first addition in 1999 added a breakfast area and bedroom. Both overlook the family deck and pool. Brick flat arches of the basement support the half-timber construction on the main floor. The breakfast nook deck cantilevers over the basement addition. The second addition expanded the garage, living room and master bedroom. The addition of the round stone turret on the front enhanced the capricious Tudor style and allowed for a seamless transition from the old and new portions of the house. This project was featured in The NY Times for the deterous execution of the turret. Brick and stonework was carefully matched. Built 2003: 2,200 sf; $600,000.
